Liability Waiver

1. Purpose
This Liability Waiver applies to your use of the My Equine Build website and to any construction, installation, repair, or other work you arrange through a professional found on it, including work on equine facilities.
2. Inherent risks
Construction and facility work involves inherent risks, including falls, collapses, electrical and structural hazards, equipment accidents, and injury to people, horses, and other animals in or near the work area.
3. Our role
My Equine Build LLC publishes profiles and connects independent users and professionals. My Equine Build LLC does not perform, supervise, or control any work, and is not a party to any agreement between a professional and a user.
4. No inspection or guarantee
My Equine Build LLC does not inspect, certify, evaluate, or guarantee: the qualifications, experience, trade or building licences, permits, or insurance of any professional; the quality, safety, or legality of any work; the accuracy of any profile or listing; or the compliance of any work with building codes or regulations.
5. Professionals' responsibility
Each professional is responsible for holding every licence, permit, certification, and insurance that their work requires, for performing work with appropriate care, for obtaining any required permits, and for complying with applicable building codes, laws, and safety rules.
6. Your responsibility
You are responsible for checking the licences, permits, insurance, and references of any professional before hiring them, for confirming prices, dates, and terms, and for making sure your project has any permits or inspections it requires.
7. Assumption of risk
By using the website or hiring a professional, you knowingly and voluntarily accept the risks described in this waiver, including the inherent risks of construction and facility work.
8. Emergencies
My Equine Build LLC does not provide emergency, medical, rescue, or insurance services. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services.
9. Florida Equine Activity Liability Act
Florida Statutes Chapter 773 (sections 773.01 to 773.06) addresses liability for injuries from the inherent risks of equine activities. Where that law applies to a professional or an activity, the professional must give the warning it requires. Nothing in this waiver removes any protection or obligation that Chapter 773 gives or imposes.
10. Release
To the fullest extent the law allows, you release My Equine Build LLC, its officers, members, managers, employees, and agents from any claim arising from your use of the website or from any work connected with a professional found on it, including injury, death, property damage, animal injury, financial loss, and disputes between users and professionals.
11. What this waiver does not cover
This waiver does not release My Equine Build LLC from liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any obligation that Florida law does not allow to be waived.
12. Acceptance
When you create an account, you must tick the box "I have read and accept the Liability Waiver," then click to accept. We record the version accepted, the date, the time, and your account. Using the website after that confirms your acceptance.
